About Us
Hi! I'm Kelly
I am a preservation breeder and owner handler of Yorkshire Terriers and am located in Northern Texas. I am an AKC Breeder of Merit, a member of YTCA (Yorkshire Terrier Club of America) and the current president of the regional specialty club the BYTC (Bluebonnet Yorkshire Terrier Club in Texas).
I breed to standard and strive to preserve and maintain this historic breed. I breed primarily for my next show prospect and breed the best possible litter with each breeding. The pups I do not select are placed in loving forever homes. I have puppies living in Texas, Missouri, Nebraska, Illinois, Florida, Kentucky, California & Colorado.
I founded KanDew Yorkies by co-breeding with my mentor Nancy Smith who kick started my breeding program. Nancy’s kennel, Hekan Yorkies has had the breed winner at the Westminster Dog Show in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021. She currently owns GCHP CH Hekan Taking care OF Bismarck (Bismarck) whom we co-bred. Bismarck was the #1 Yorkie in the country in 2023 and 2024. Bismarck was sired by GCH CH Hekan Hundo P Key-P It Real (Hundo).

Here Are Some Fun Facts
Hundo is featured on the Tropiclean Perfectfur bottle for long coated breeds. Hundo was featured in the commercial spots, and social media spots live action ads for the product kick-off. Hundo was featured on the ads for the National Championship Dog Show which aired in December 2020. These can be viewed on YouTube. Beamer is in the Tropiclean spots sporting cute curlers. In addition, Hundo and his first litter of puppies (which included Bismarck) were featured on the Purina meet the breeds video that can be viewed on YouTube by searching “Y is for Yorkshire Terrier”. You will see Hundo as an adult and Hundo’s first litter (5 weeks) that I co-bred with Nancy. Also featured is Dawn as a puppy.
